DON FILETO
OUR STORY
Don fileto, also known as Procesadora y Empacadora de Carnes del Norte SA de CV, is a
mexican enterprise founded in 2001 by four groups of cattle ranchers. Pioneers of the field with
more than 60 years of experience.
Our plant is classified as a federal inspection type (TIF), dedicated to the acquisition of livestock
for its later processing, sacrifice, bonning, added value procedures and commercialization as
high quality vacuum sealed beef.
We also take part in the sale of by-products derived from the process such as leathers, fats and
flours. These are processed in our yield plant to be later commercialized for industrial and
animal use.
Transcendence: In 2004 we implemented the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points
(HACCP) system in the fields of sacrifice and bonning. This allows for better health control over
our processes to ensure the safety of all of our products. That same year, in the month of
September, we were awarded the “Mexico Calidad Suprema” certification.
In 2006 we took part, for the very first time, in one of the biggest, most important food related
fairs in the world: Foodex. An international exposition of everything which concerns the food
industry for the Japanese region.
In March 2011, we received authorization to export our products to the United States of
America, we began exporting in April and it fastly became the main focus of our exports.
